‏The Egyptian Embassy in Bucharest, Romania, said it works hard to offer help to Egyptian nationals, escaping to Romania from the war in Ukraine.

‏”The embassy spares no efforts to help Egyptians arriving here from Ukraine in the light of directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri,” Ambassador Moayad Eldalie told The Egyptian Gazette in an interview.‏

He said Egyptians escaping from Ukraine can enter Romania from four access points on the joint border between the two eastern European states.

‏The embassy, Ambassador Eldalie said, coordinates the transport of Egyptian nationals to Bucharest once they arrive in Romania with Romanian authorities.
‏Apart from transport, the Egyptian embassy in the Romanian capital also provides Egyptians with accommodation in city dorms.
‏The dorms, the ambassador said, offer free accommodation and services for Egyptian students.
‏Around 500 Egyptian students have already arrived in Bucharest, according to Ambassador Eldalie.
‏”We expect the number to increase with more Egyptian students leaving Ukraine to Romania through the aforementioned four border access points,” the ambassador said.
‏He said his embassy makes preparations for receiving an additional 500 students.
‏The Egyptian Embassy in Romania also coordinates the return of Egyptian nationals to their homeland.
‏Egypt succeeded in returning 175 of its nationals from Ukraine on March 1.
‏Egyptian authorities coordinate, meanwhile, with authorities in Ukraine’s other neighbouring countries to return other Egyptian nationals fleeing the war in Ukraine.
‏Thirty Egyptians, mostly students, returned home from Hungary yesterday, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

‏Ambassador Eldalie said Egyptian authorities and his embassy staff work tirelessly to coordinate the return of more Egyptian nationals to Egypt in the coming period.
‏He reassured the families of Egyptian students who have arrived in Romania already about their condition.
‏”They are in safe hands and will return to Egypt safely,” the ambassador said.
‏The Egyptian Embassy in Bucharest communicates with Egyptians in Ukraine via its Facebook page.
‏The embassy has already urged Egyptians arriving from Ukraine to provide it with information so that it can provide accommodation to them.
‏Ambassador Eldalie said the Egyptian leadership and the Foreign Ministry work on removing all obstacles on the road of the safe return of Egyptians from Ukraine as soon as possible.
‏He added that his embassy’s hotline responds to calls around the clock.
‏”We also welcome Egyptian nationals all the time,” he said.
