Egyptian Drug Authority chief Ali El-Ghamrawy received a delegation from Türkiye’s Abdi Ibrahim company to discuss cooperation and localizing pharmaceutical production. The meeting was led by CEO Tasbulatoglu Suha, with senior executives and Egypt’s commercial attaché present.
El-Ghamrawy welcomed the delegation, stressing Egypt’s commitment to partnering with leading global firms to boost local drug manufacturing. He said Egypt offers a strong regulatory framework and is working to attract investment, transfer technology, and position itself as a regional hub for medicine production and exports, especially to Africa.
Talks covered the company’s potential presence in Egypt, technology transfer, and regulatory requirements for licensing and factory establishment. The delegation praised Egypt’s regulatory progress and expressed interest in expanding operations, focusing on manufacturing and export opportunities.
The meeting is part of Egypt’s wider strategy to strengthen cooperation with global pharmaceutical leaders, enhance drug security, and open new export markets.
