Egypt has expressed its condolences to China and its people over the devastating earthquake that hit the northern province of Gansu, leaving a large number of people dead and injured.
Egypt, in a statement issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry on Tuesday, affirmed full solidarity with China in dealing with the repercussions of the devastating earthquake .
Egypt expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
At least 116 people were killed when an earthquake collapsed buildings in northwest China, state media reported, as rescue workers raced to start digging through rubble in freezing conditions.
