Egypt condemned Israel’s unilateral recognition of the so-called Somaliland, describing the move as a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter, and a threat to regional and international peace and security.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Egypt rejected all unilateral actions that undermine state sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that such steps risk further destabilizing the Horn of Africa.
Egypt reaffirmed its complete rejection of recognizing any parallel or separatist entities formed through unlawful means.
The statement also stressed Cairo’s full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia and its opposition to any measures that could weaken stability or compromise Somali sovereignty.
