Egypt has strongly condemned the recent heinous attacks targeting a military camp and a power and desalination facility in the State of Kuwait, which resulted in injuries among members of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry in Cairo, on Monday, Egypt extended sincere wishes for a swift recovery the injured.

In addition, Egypt affirmed that these ‘unacceptable and unjustified attacks’ constitute ‘a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait, a clear breach of the principles of international law and the UN Charter, as well as hazardous escalation posing a threat to regional peace and security at this critical juncture, the statement read.

The country also reiterated its full solidarity with Kuwait and sisterly Gulf states in confronting Iran’s aggression, the ministry statement said.

Egypt further affirms its firm support for all measures and actions undertaken by Kuwait to safeguard its national security, preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and ensure the safety and well-being of its people, the statement stressed.
