Egypt maintained its airdrop of humanitarian aid in different parts of the Gaza Strip on Saturday

This delivery of aid by air to the Palestinian territory came in continuation of Egyptian efforts to support the Palestinians and in implementation of directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Egyptian army said in a statement.
It added that the president had ordered the command of the Armed Forces to maintain the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinians.
The shipment of humanitarian aid dropped by air in different parts of Gaza yesterday contained tonnes of food and urgent humanitarian needs, the army said.
It added that the new airdrop aimed to alleviate the suffering of the residents of Gaza.
Egypt, it said, would maintain its efforts to ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian assistance to meet the basic needs of the Palestinian people.
