CAIRO – Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar received Cape Verde Minister of Health Filomena Gonçalves and her accompanying delegation to discuss means to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was held on Thursday in the Health Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital in the presence of a host of respective officials, Spokesman for the ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
They discussed ways to boost cooperation in different healthcare-related fields in Cape Verde, the spokesman said, noting that Abdel Ghaffar directed officials of his ministry to speed up procedures to develop a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between both countries to support training and exchange expertise.
Abdel Ghaffar also invited the minister to attend the second edition of the Global Congress on Population, Health and Development, due to be held in October.
