CAIRO – Egypt’s representative at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Yasmine Moussa, called on the international community and the United Nations to act immediately to end the blockade on Gaza, enforce a ceasefire, and ensure protection for civilians and aid workers.
In remarks to AlQahera News Channel, Moussa said that the UN and its bodies must act to stop the targeting of civilians and humanitarian workers, ensure the urgent delivery of aid, and push for a ceasefire.
She added that aid must reach Gaza immediately, warning that the lack of political will prevents international law enforcement.
Moussa affirmed that Egypt’s argument before the court supported the continuation of UNRWA operations and rejected Israeli efforts to restrict its work.
She also stressed that Egypt remains committed to supporting Palestinian rights through international legal channels.
