Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir underscored the importance of intensifying mutual visits between Egypt and Belarus at the government and private levels to get acquainted with the industrial potentials.
The state is very interested in deepening the industry of many products that are used as inputs to important industries, said Samir during a meeting with Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus Dmitry Kharitonchik and his accompanying delegation on Monday.
There are greater opportunities to carry out joint projects to manufacture these products in Egypt, added the minister.
The meeting is part of activities of the third meeting of the joint working group for industrial cooperation between Egypt and Belarus.
The talks tackled trade and economic co-operation between the two countries and the latest developments of negotiations regarding the free trade deal between Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Samir pointed out he agreed with the trade minister of the Union on holding the upcoming round of the negotiations in the coming months to reach a final deal very soon.
