Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathi, and his Bahraini counterpart, Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi jointly inaugurated a workshop in Dubai aimed at strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Held on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, the workshop saw broad participation from Egyptian and Bahraini travel companies.

Discussions focused on developing joint marketing strategies, leveraging direct flights, and launching integrated tourism packages to attract visitors, particularly from East Asian markets, the Ministry of Tourism said in a statement.

The two ministers underscored the vital role of public-private partnerships and pledged to foster new collaborations and joint promotional efforts to increase tourism to Egypt and Bahrain, establishing them as top global destinations.

Participants also explored collaboration in developing diverse tourism products, including wedding tourism and the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.

The workshop follows recent high-level meetings between the two countries aimed at enhancing bilateral relations in the tourism sector.
