Egyptian’s Minister of Housing Sherif el-Sherbiny met today Bahrain’s Ambassador in Cairo Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal at the ministry’s premises in the New Administrative Capital.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance co-operation between the two countries in different fileds.

El-Sherbiny hailed deep-rooted and strong ties between the two Arab countries, citing great investment opportunities in Egypt across various sectors, especially in fourth-generation cities, most notably the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein, New Mansoura, and other cities.

He has said Egypt is ready to transfer its extensive experience in urban development to Bahrain, especially in smart cities, drinking water and sanitation facilities, in addition to seawater desalination.

Egypt has achieved a major breakthrough in the field of water and sanitation facilities over the past decade.

For her part, Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal said Bahrain would tap Egyptian urban experience to help her country achieve the desired urban development goals.
