Egypt and Bahrain discussed ways to strengthen co-operation in labour, employment and human resources development during talks between their labour ministers on the sidelines of the 114th International Labour Conference in Geneva.
Labour Minister Hassan Raddad met his Bahraini counterpart Yousif bin Abdulhussein Khalaf, as both sides reaffirming the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and their shared interest in developing labour markets and upgrading workforce skills.
Raddad outlined efforts to develop Egypt’s labour system, expand vocational training, and align workforce skills with labour market needs, alongside ongoing legislative reforms aiming at improving working conditions and promoting decent work.
The talks also covered co-operation in vocational training, employment policy exchange, digital transformation of labour services, and social protection, as well as sharing best practices in addressing labour market challenges.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination in areas of mutual interest to support development goals and expand decent employment opportunities for youth.
