CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and his Bahraini counterpart Fatima bint Jaafar al-Sairafi discussed the importance of benefiting from the techniques and applications of artificial intelligence in the sector of tourism between both countries especially in promoting tourism.
They also discussed means of boosting bilateral co-operation in the field of tourism and promoting the tourism movement in both countries.
During the meeting, the minister of tourism reviewed the indicators of tourism movement in Egypt in 2024, pointing out that the tourism movement will increase the end of the year by 5% more than 2023.
Fathy lauded the Egyptian-Bahraini fraternal and friendly ties at all the levels.
He also highlighted the importance of Arab co-operation to serve the sector of tourism, especially in light of the depth of Egyptian-Bahraini ties.
Meanwhile, the Bahraini minister expressed her country’s desire to promote co-operation to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in the several domains, including digital transformation and using modern technology in the tourism sector.
