Egypt greatly appreciates the crucial step taken by both Saudi Arabia and Iran to resume diplomatic relations and reopen their embassies, affirmed Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
Egypt also appreciates Saudi Arabia’s approach in this respect in order to ease tensions in ties at the regional level and promote security and stability in the region, added the spokesman.
The spokesman, meanwhile, affirmed that Egypt hopes that this decision will have a positive impact toward Iran’s policies at the regional and international levels.
Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed on Friday to re-establish diplomatic relations and reopen embassies in a deal that was brokered by China.
