BEIRUT – Lebanese Minister of Information Zeyad al Makari has praised Egypt’s support for Lebanon through the different difficult phases and crises.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has always stood by the side of Lebanon and its people, Makari said in an interview with MENA correspondent here.
The statements were made before Makari’s visit to Egypt to take part in meetings of Arab information ministers due to kick off in Cairo Tuesday.
The Lebanese minister pointed to positive signs about the formation of a new government soon, expecting a limited change in portfolios though.
He urged politicians to live up to their national responsibility during such critical time, stressing that Lebanon cannot bear another day of vacuum.
He added that he is looking forward to boosting co-operation with Egypt, where drama and movie production is concerned.
