CAIRO – President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce Ibrahim El Araby discussed on Tuesday with Warda Megahid, the economic and trade counselor of the Algerian Embassy in Cairo, boosting co-operation in the sectors of renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, logistics, and fishery.
The two sides agreed on arranging a meeting in May 2022 at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce in the presence of Egyptian and Algerian businessmen to tackle investment and trade opportunities in the two countries.
Vice President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce Sameh Zaki asserted the importance of offering all data and information about the Egyptian and Algerian markets to determine aspects of cooperation, adding Egypt has many commodities which could be exported to the Algerian market.
Megahid, for her part, said her visit targets enhancing bilateral economic relations and discovering new ways to increase trade exchange with Egypt through more coordination with the chamber and supporting investment partnership in various sectors.
