Egyptian Ambassador to Algeria Mokhtar Warida conferred with Head of the Higher Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption Salima Mesrati on means to boost bilateral co-operation between Egypt and Algeria.
This came during Warida’s meeting on Tuesday with Mesrati who expressed happiness over the first visit of the accredited ambassadors after forming the new authority in July 19.
Warida said that there is huge co-operation between Egypt and Algeria that reflects the progress in the bilateral relations especially after the visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Cairo in January and the visit of Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli to Algiers in June.
He asserted that Egypt is open for co-operation with Algeria to expand new horizons.
The Administrative Control Authority is working on supporting the investment and investors via boosting governance in addition to combating corruption.
Egypt has finished the first stage of the national strategy to combat corruption, he said, adding that the second stage is about be finished.
Meanwhile, Mesrati said that Egypt and Algeria have strong ties based on mutual respect, adding that these ties are currently witnessing a new boost in all the political, economic and social fields.
