Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati received a phone call from Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to discuss the situation in Lebanon and recent regional developments amid rising military tensions.
According to Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the call focused on the worsening refugee crisis caused by Israeli attacks and its impact on Lebanon.
Minister Abdel-Aati reiterated Egypt’s full solidarity with Lebanon, rejecting any attacks on its sovereignty, unity, or territorial integrity.
They also reviewed urgent needs in Lebanon and ways to address them.
Abdel-Aati affirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Lebanese state institutions, the army, and efforts to consolidate security, while intensifying diplomatic efforts to stop the escalation and provide humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people.
