CAIRO- Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange Mohamed Farid said on Monday that the increase of the institutional investment component on the Egyptian market would provide additional liquidity and help stimulate foreign investments.
In a press release, the Egyptian Stock Exchange said that Farid held two meetings with all parties concerned with institutional investment over the past period to formulate an action plan to increase their investments on the Egyptian market.
The meetings tackled the status of government institutions’ investments in the stock market, which are still very low according to statistics.
The meetings saw an agreement on the need for removing all obstacles and simplifying procedures to increase institutional investments in the Egyptian stock market.
