CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Saeed said 5.5 billion pounds were allocated to public investments in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Sohag during the FY2022/2023.
This sum will cover the implementation of as many as 431 different development projects in the governorate, Saeed pointed out in her ministry’s report about the main features of Sohag citizen investment plan for the FY2022/2023, to raise public awareness of sustainable development priorities and their role in achieving Egypt Vision 2030.
Saeed said the housing sector comes first in the governorate’s public investment plan for the current fiscal year, receiving nearly EGP 852 million.
Around EGP 635 million will be provided to the higher education sector, EGP 464 million to the health sector, EGP 408 million to the transport, and EGP 894 million to other sectors.
Saeed said all development plans adopted by the State target better quality of life, which cannot be achieved with effective community involvement.
