CAIRO – Egypt’s Planning Ministry Hala el-Said said Friday that EGP 283.4 billion were allocated for social protection ventures within 2021/2022 state budget, compared to EGP 200 million in 2019/2020, with a 41.5 percent increase.
El Said’s comments came as she announced the targets of the social protection plan during the fiscal year 2021/2022 , as part of the Planning Ministry’s 4th year medium-term plan for sustainable development (2018/2019-2021/2022).
The developmental vision for social protection and care is based on preparing a united, cohesive, and productive Egyptian society to realize social solidarity and economic development goals, along with decent life for households, she said.
