CAIRO – The second term of Egypt’s school-year will begin on Saturday across the nation after the end of a two-week mid-year vacation.
Six million public school students will start attending classes as of Saturday while students of private and language schools will start on Sunday.
The ministry said it has concluded all preparations for the second term and has taken all measures to manage the educational process while preserving the safety of everyone involved.
The ministry gave strict directives to all schools to sterilize all classrooms ahead of the start of the second term.
According to the timetable announced by the ministry, the second semester will start on February 19 and ends on June 9.
The exams of high school senior-year students (Thanaweya Amma) will be held on June 11.
