Egyptian Education Minister Tarek Shawki discussed on Monday with British Ambassador in Cairo Gareth Bailey bolstering education co-operation.
Shawki reviewed measures taken to develop the education system from 2017 to 2022 and the developments in the digital library projects.
The minister talked about goals of the new education system, which aims to provide education for all without discrimination, pay attention to learning outcomes, in addition to improving the quality of research and technology system and the competitiveness of education systems.
He also pointed out to the experience of Japanese schools in Egypt, which started in 2018, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Meanwhile, Bailey lauded the new curricula applied by Egypt in the new education system 2.0, saying the UK grants several scholarships for Egyptian students.
The ambassador pointed out that Egypt has played a big role in developing Education and introducing technology in the education process, stressing that education is a main aspect of cooperation between the two countries.
