The second edition of Egypt’s Defense Expo, widely known as EDEX, will start on November 29, army spokesman Col. Gharib Abdel Hafez, said.
He added that the expo would be held under direct sponsorship from President Abdel Fatath El Sisi.
The event will bring together 400 exhibitors from 42 countries, including some of the region’s and the world’s largest defense companies, Col. Abdel Hafez said.
He added that the event would last until December 2.
The fair will be held at the Egypt International Convention and Exhibition Center in New Cairo.
Those participating in the exhibition will bring in some of the latest military equipment which will manifest the progress military industry technologies have reached.
This edition of the fair will consist of 21 international pavilions.
The exhibition is also expected to receive over 30,000 visitors this year, including military industry specialists and those interested in armament.
The biannual event is the largest in Egypt.
