CAIRO – Head of Egyptian Drug Authority Ali el-Ghamrawy asserted the necessity of co-operation between factories, distributors, warehouses and pharmacies in addition to the ministries of health, industry and communications to guarantee the effectiveness of medicine tracking system that the EDA started to implement.
The system aims at eradicating cheating and smuggling in addition to preventing the sale of expired drugs in the market, Ghamrawy said in statements of Channel 1 of Egyptian TV.
The system enables the EDA to follow up medicines after getting out of the factory and the process of distribution until they reach pharmacies.
