Cairo – Deputy Director of the Egyptian Centre for Strategic Studies (ECSS) Mohamed Ibrahim Eldawiry said that the history will take a bow for the achievement of the Egyptian state that succeeded in liberating Sinai land from the Israeli occupation in October war in 1973.
In statements to MENA on Thursday, Eldawiry said Egypt exerted strenuous efforts on April 25 to fully liberate Sinai lands in 1982.
Egypt did not only liberate Sinai but also worked on making it an example to follow in development and construction, he said, adding that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has worked on linking this strategic area with the Egyptian national security especially after Egypt’s fight against terror in Sinai until eradicating it.
The political leadership is fully aware that there are several dangers surrounding the Egyptian national security, he said.
He added that these risks will not stop the unprecedented development track in Sinai.
He said that the Egyptians should be proud of their world-class army which is capable of protecting the Egyptian national security and contributing to proceeding with the march of development.
