CAIRO – President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso has hailed partnership with Egypt which, she said, started ten years ago.
Addressing the second Egypt – International Co-operation Forum (Egypt – ICF) in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) under the auspices of president Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Renaud-Basso said her bank invested 10 billion dollars in Egypt, a matter that helped Cairo improve its economy and create more job opportunities for the Egyptians.
She added that the bank approved strategies to improve the economic conditions of women and the impoverished persons.
She pointed out that the bank helped Egypt in carrying out solar, wind and gas energy projects which would help the country to transit from fossil fuel to renewable energy.
