EBRD president commends Sisi’s supportive positions of women empowerment, climate action

CAIRO – President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso commended positions of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at international forums.

President Sisi is always supporting efforts of women empowerment, climate action and water issues, added Renaud-Basso.

Her remarks were made during her meeting with Minister of International Co-operation Rania el-Mashat and Egypt’s governor at the EBRD board as part of her visit which includes meeting a number of officials at international institutions and senior government officials to boost joint economic relations.

For her part, Mashat asserted that the government is ready for boosting co-operation with the EBRD.

She said Egypt is keen on organizing an extraordinary session of the 27th round of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Convention Climate Change to push forward climate action efforts locally, regionally and internationally.
