State Information Service (SIS) Chairman Diaa Rashwan asserted that Egypt’s hosting of the twelfth World Urban Forum (WUF12) is representing an international recognition of the country’s efforts in urban development and sustainable development.
The move is also showing the Egyptian achievements in this field over the past ten years, Rashwan added in the introduction of a book released by SIS under the title “Egypt and the World Urban Forum November 2024.”
The event will convene in Cairo on November 4-8. It is themed “It all starts at home: Local actions for sustainable cities and communities.”
Rashwan emphasized the forum is considered an important opportunity for presenting the Egyptian leading experiment in achieving comprehensive urban welfare and prosperity nationwide.
WUF12 will focus on localizing the Sustainable Development Goals and on the local actions and initiatives required to curb current global challenges.
The book includes an introduction and four chapters.
