ADMINISTRATIVE CAPITAL – International Co-operation Minister Rania el Mashaat said Sunday that development finance makes up about 16 per cent of Egypt’s foreign debt.
Speaking in a conference to review her Ministry’s annual report, Mashaat said China had agreed to the first ever debt swap deal with Egypt during a “Belt and Road” forum in Beijing.
Egypt’s Country Platform for the Nexus of Water, Food and Energy (NWFE) has encouraged many countries to lobby for finances needed for countries to go green, Mashaat said.
She also talked about the “Decent Life” initiative, saying it has attracted world attention.
