Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Mageed Saqr held talks Sunday with visiting First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior of Kuwait Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al Sabah and his accompanying delegation on the latest regional and international developments and their impacts on the security and stability of the region, especially amid the current challenging circumstances.
The meeting also took up ways to enhance military cooperation between Egypt and Kuwait.
General Saqr praised the historical ties binding both countries, confirming the commitment of the Armed Forces’ leadership to supporting military collaboration.
For his part, Sheikh Fahad lauded the profound, longstanding relations between the two sisterly countries, expressing hope that the upcoming phase would witness further cooperation between their armed forces.
Earlier an official reception ceremony was held for Sheikh Fahad upon his arrival at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, and the end of his visit, both sides signed an agreement to share expertise in various military fields between the Egyptian and Kuwaiti armed forces.
The meeting and the signing ceremony were attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt. General Ahmed Khalifa and a number of military commanders from both countries.
