Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lt. Gen. Abdul Mageed Sakr on Tuesday inspected one of the formations of the Air Defense Forces, within the framework of the regular field follow-up visits to ensure the readiness and combat preparedness of the Armed Forces.
Sakr was accompanied by Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa and commanders of the main units.
Sakr attended a number of training activities for Air Defense units, inspected the forces while carrying out their exercises and discussed with a number of commanders and officers progress achieved in their assigned tasks.
The Commander-in-chief met with a number of Air Defense fighters, including Commander of the Air Defense Forces Lieutenant General Yasser al Toudi who affirmed keenness of Air Defense personnel on achieving the highest levels of combat readiness in carrying out all tasks assigned to them under different circumstances.
He highlighted the cutting-edge technological capabilities of the Air Defense Forces that enable them to protect the Egyptian sky and secure its airspace within the integrated combat system of the Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, Sakr conveyed greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the Air Defense fighters.
He emphasized eagerness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to continuously develop combat training plans and programs.
