Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher met fighters of the Third Field Army and East Canal Counterterrorism Forces. Chief of Staff Ahmed Khalifa and senior commanders attended.
Commander of the Third Field Army Major General Ahmed Mahdi Sarhan delivered a speech in which he underscored the commitment of the Third Field Army’s fighters to maintaining the highest levels of proficiency and combat readiness to perform their duties efficiently and effectively under all circumstances.
Minister Zahir conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s greetings and appreciation to the fighters for their sincere efforts in protecting the nation. He congratulated them on the coming Eid al-Fitr.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed that defending the nation is a sacred duty that requires permanent readiness to face all challenges and that the Armed Forces is able to secure all strategic borders of the state. He praised their role in fighting terrorism and supporting development in Sinai.
