The Defence and Military Production Minister, General Mohamed Zaki, has expressed appreciation of friendly ties and military co-operation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Military Committee, pointing out in this connection to a concurrence of visions on various issues between the two sides in a way that contributes to consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region.
Gen Zaki remarks came during his meeting yesterday with the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting Cairo, the Armed Forces spokesman said in posts on social media.
The talks, he added, covered a set of issues of common interest in light of the military co-operation and exchange of expertise between the two sides.
During the meeting, Admiral Bauer praised the pivotal role played by Egypt in maintaining security and stability in the region, voicing hope for the furtherance of co-operation and exchange of expertise between the Egyptian Armed Forces and NATO’s military committee, the spokesman said.
