Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production General Abdel Mageed Saqr met Monday with President of the Arab Military Sports Union Yusuf Desmal Mubarak al-Kuwari at the Defence Ministry headquarters, in the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
During the meeting, Saqr expressed his appreciation for the union’s efforts in advancing military sports across Arab countries, emphasizing that all tournaments and activities supervised by the Arab Military Sports Union strengthen ties among Arab nations, enhance collective capabilities, and contribute to sharing expertise while promoting the physical development of armed forces personnel.
Kuwari extended his gratitude to the Egyptian Armed Forces for their continuous support of the union’s activities and their role in fostering co-operation among the armed forces of member Arab states. He highlighted the union’s vision to maintain Arab military sports at leading levels regionally.
Kuwari presented the Union’s First-Class Golden Medal and the Golden Shield to Field Marshal Saqr and Lieutenant General Khalifa in recognition of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ ongoing support for military sports initiatives.
