Egypt’s Defence Minister Abdel Meguid Saqr inspected an air base Sunday to get firsthand information about combat readiness.
He also visited an exhibition of a number of planes and multi-task fighter jets and listened to a detailed explanation about the most advanced combat systems and arms.
The minister discussed the planning and execution systems with a number of pilots.
He also watched the taking off of some fighter jets to carry out a drill.
Saqr conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s best regards to the Egyptian Air Force. The Armed Forces are keen on equipping the Air Force with the most advanced systems and planes to be able to counter challenges and keep pace with technological development, he noted.
