Egypt’s Minister of Defence and Military Production Mohamed Zaki met with Hungarian Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky along with his accompanying delegation.
An official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defence, and the military band played the national anthems of both countries.
The meeting tackled the latest regional and international conditions, as well as a host of issues of mutual interest, in light of the military cooperation spheres between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
The defence minister, meanwhile, voiced keenness on promoting military cooperation with Hungary, in light of the close ties binding the two countries.
He also underlined the importance of coordinating efforts and increasing aspects of military cooperation.
For his part, the Hungarian minister affirmed his country’s keenness on enhancing military cooperation with Egypt within the upcoming phase.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar, and a number of commanders of the armed forces of both countries attended the meeting.
The Hungarian ambassador to Egypt along with the military attaché of Hungary also attended the meeting.
