The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zahir, listened to a presentation that reviewed the development and modernisation witnessed by the Northern Military Zone, in addition to its role in supporting civil society.

The meeting was attended by Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, commanders of the main branches and a number of Armed Forces leaders.

Commander of the Naval Forces,Vice Admiral Mahmoud Fawzy, delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the men of the Naval Forces renew their pledge to continue giving in order to reach the highest levels of combat readiness and to uphold the nation’s cause, whatever sacrifices it may require.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production also met a number of fighters from the Naval Forces and the Northern Military Zone, as well as personnel from naval bases across the republic via video conference.

Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zahir conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, stressing that the men of the Armed Forces remain fully committed to the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them in protecting Egypt’s national security across all strategic directions amid the current challenges facing the region.

He also affirmed the Armed Forces’ keenness to continue developing their combat and technical capabilities in all fields to enable them to confront potential risks and threats.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces recommended maintaining the highest levels of combat readiness and preparedness so that the Armed Forces remain a strong shield for the nation and a steadfast fortress for the great people of Egypt.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zahir, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, shared the iftar meal with the fighters.
