Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, General Ashraf Salem Zaher, affirmed on Tuesday the Armed Forces’ continued commitment to safeguarding Egypt’s national security and maintaining the highest levels of readiness.

During a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence with a number of commanders from units and sub-units of the Second and Third Field Armies, the defence minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the personnel serving within these formations.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, along with a number of senior commanders of the Armed Forces attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the commander-in-chief reviewed a number of current international and regional developments and their implications for Egypt’s national security.

He also engaged in a dialogue with the commanders, listening to their perspectives and responding to questions regarding developments across the region.

General Zaher emphasised the importance of maintaining high morale among the ranks and continuing to enhance the professional skills and physical fitness of individual soldiers.

He praised the dedication and tireless efforts of Armed Forces personnel serving within the Second and Third Field Armies, commending their vital role in protecting the nation and safeguarding its resources.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the commander-in-chief joined the troops for Iftar and performed the Maghrib prayer alongside them, reflecting the strong sense of unity and solidarity within the Armed Forces.
