The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki praised the fraternal relations and historical bonds between Egypt and Bahrain, which are underpinned by robust co-operation, coordination, and identical views on various shared interests and concerns.
Zaki’s assertion came as he received yesterday Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.
General Zaki expressed pride at the strategic partnership with the Bahraini Armed Forces, citing it as a model for fruitful collaboration to advance mutual endeavours across all sectors.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Bahraini Supreme Defence Council expressed his country’s gratitude for Egypt’s sincere efforts, particularly those of its armed forces, in boosting regional stability and Arab security.
He emphasised his country’s commitment to strengthening military co-operation with Egypt in light of the deeply rooted ties at official and popular levels.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar and several commanders of the armed forces of both countries.
