Egyptian Minister of Defence and Military Production Mohamed Zaki paid an inspection visit to the Military College on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Chief of Staff Osama Askar and a number of commanders of the Armed Forces.
The visit comes as part of the Armed Forces keenness to follow up training and rehabilitation programmes for the cadets of military colleges and institutes.
In his speech during the visit, Minister Zaki congratulated the new cadets for joining military colleges and institutes and characterised them as new blood within the armed forces. He stressed that the Armed Forces was keen to prepare them to become officers capable of protecting the homeland and bearing the heavy responsibilities assigned to them.
During the visit, the defence minister witnessed a number of training activities of the Military College senior and new cadets, which began with sports activities that included fitness exercises, which the cadets perform daily during their presence in the college.
The training showed the extent of the high physical capabilities of the Military College cadets.
The minister also discussed with the students several topics in various fields, listened to their opinions and answered their inquiries.
He also advised them to maintain dedication to training, gain knowledge, take care of their physical fitness and adhere to the principles of the Egyptian military so that they can become a generation capable of bearing responsibility and preserving the sanctities of the homeland.
