Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production General Abdel Meguid Saqr inspected one of the formations of the Air Defence Forces.
The inspection tour, attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa and senior military commanders, is part of the continued field follow-up aimed to assess the readiness and combat preparedness of the units and formations of the Armed Forces.
General Saqr toured several command centres, where he received a detailed briefing on the plans and measures implemented to secure the airspace within the formation’s scope. He also reviewed the technical support and maintenance measures for various weapons and equipment, made possible through the utilisation of advanced technical support systems. Additionally, he inspected an exhibition of modern defence systems employed by the Air Defence Forces.
During his visit, General Saqr met with members of the Air Defence Forces and conveyed to them the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces for their efforts in securing Egyptian airspace around the clock.General Saqr stressed that the Armed Forces is committed to providing continuous support to all units and formations to maintain the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness. He said that defending the homeland, securing its borders, and safeguarding its people’s resources is a sacred mission that allows no compromise.He urged air defence personnel to continue rigorous training, maximise the use of advanced air defence systems, and maintain their ability to execute all assigned missions effectively to protect national security and preserve the country’s sanctities.
