Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence General Abdel Meguid Saqr attended on Tuesday the main phase of the Tactical Command Centres Project carried out by the Southern Military Region over several days.
The project is part of the training plan for formations and units of the Armed Forces. The event was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Force Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, the main branch commanders, and several senior officers of the Armed Forces.
Commander of the Southern Military Region Major General Amr Ahmed Gamil noted that the Armed Forces provides all possible support to all formations and units of the Southern Military Region to enable them to carry out their assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
The phase included a presentation of the tactical concept, decisions made by commanders during the project, and procedures for preparation, organisation, and coordination among all participating elements.
General Saqr discussed with several commanders and officers their methods for executing tasks and making decisions to address sudden changes during operations, as well as their proficiency in applying these methods.
General Sakr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the personnel of the Southern Military Region.
He told them that he is proud of their efforts to secure the southern strategic direction and combat infiltration and smuggling activities.
General Saqr praised the distinguished performance of the personnel of the Southern Military Region in carrying out all training tasks. He also commended the swift coordination among units and subunits, enabling them to counter all forms of threats targeting the security and stability of the nation amidst the rapidly changing regional landscape.
He called upon them to continue rigorous and realistic training, maintain constant vigilance, and work with high morale. He also advocated for continuous communication between the commanders and subordinates to keep the Armed Forces as the nation’s impregnable shield and steadfast protector of its sanctities.
