Egyptian Minister of Education Reda Hegazy stressed that the Decent Life initiative is the first national project of its kind in Egypt and the world, noting that the initiative includes many elements aimed at community development and raising the quality of life. The initiative aims also at raising the quality of education.
The minister’s remarks came as he met on Thursday a delegation from the Decent Life Foundation to discuss aspects of co-operation between the Ministry and the Foundation.

During the meeting, the minister presented a number of files that are included in the ministry’s agenda, with the objective being to improve and advance the educational process at various stages and grades in order to achieve the state’s goals in the field of education in general.
For their part, the delegation of the Decent Life Foundation reviewed a proposal for the Foundation’s participation in spreading the culture of community work and volunteering in schools in coordination with the Ministry.
Aya Omar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Decent Life (Hayat Karima) Foundation, stressed the Foundation’s keenness to spread the culture of volunteering among school students at all educational levels, noting that public awareness campaigns will take a simplified form that students of all ages can absorb by including it in school activities.
