Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hany Sewilam asserted that “Decent Life” Initiative, that started in January 2019 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, has a prominent role in providing decent life for millions of Egyptians via implementing a number of service projects that targeted the neediest rural areas, adding that it presented an example to the world to achieve decent life to the citizens.
This came during Sewilam’s word during the youth ceremony 2024 organized by “Decent Life” Foundation which coincides with the International Human Solidarity Day.
This important event reflects the interest of the Egyptian state in the youth, he said, thanking the foundation for the several services it presented to the citizens within the past years in the rural areas with the help of 50,000 volunteers in the foundation.
The Irrigation Ministry participated in this important imitative via implementing a number of water resources projects in the centers of the initiative which had a great importance in achieving sustainable development as the water is really a main element in all the developmental projects, he said.
The ministry provided plots of land to set up service facilities to serve the residents in the villages of the initiative, he said.
