The Decent Life Foundation participated with a special pavilion for the Cairo Marathon, which began last Friday and will run until March 10.
The foundation is appealing for donations to support the neediest in rural areas covered by the Decent Life.
Decent Life is raising funds for food support during the holy fasting month of Ramadan, as well as supplying artificial limbs and wheelchairs for the disabled as part of the presidential rural development initiative Decent Life. The foundation is also supporting anti-bullying campaigns.
Decent Life is the official sponsor of the 10th Cairo Marathon, organised by Cairo Runners.
The foundation’s pavilion will showcase an introduction to the national project Decent Life in a bid to attract volunteers for the initiative, and display handicraft products from Decent Life villages.
This year’s theme of the Cairo Marathon is ‘Run For It’, in co-operation with Chaiselong, the first electronic platform in the Middle East and Africa for psychiatric counselling.
The marathon is in four categories: half marathon (21 kilometres), followed by the 10 kilometre, 5 kilometre and the 2-kilometre family race.
