CAIRO – Egypt’s Dar al Iftaa said Wednesday that forging Covid-19 certificates are totally prohibited by Islam.
In a statement, Dar al Iftaa said forging such certificates causes harm to the others, citing Holy Quran verses and Hadiths (The Prophet Muhammed sayings and traditions) on prohibiting all kinds of lies including forgery.
It added that forging such documents is criminalised according to Article 222 of law 28 of 1937 which affirmed that using false certificates on diseases, pregnancy or physical disability is a criminal act.
