Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen emphasized depth of strategic relations between Denmark and Egypt highlighting the importance of strengthening economic and trade dimensions of bilateral partnership.

The Danish minister’s remarks came during his visit Monday to the headquarters of the Danish company “Aller Aqua” as part of his official visit to Egypt. The Company is specialized in production of aquaculture feed.

The visit underscored Denmark’s leading role in the field of sustainable aquaculture as well as supporting food security in Egypt and improving the investment climate.

It also included a short tour of the Company’s modern production and logistics facilities in Egypt, during which Rasmussen listened to a presentation about the Company’s operations and its on-site quality control system, along with its contribution to the value chain of the aquaculture sector in the local market.

The tour shed light on drives the Company incorporate to utilize Danish technology, expertise, and best sustainable practices to support the growth of Egypt’s aquaculture sector.

Following the tour, Rasmussen took part in a discussion on the role of the Egyptian-Danish Business Council (EDBC), an initiative aimed at promoting trade, industrial, and technological cooperation between the two countries.

The Danish minister also emphasized his country’s vast potentials in the field of aquaculture – from advanced fish-feeding solutions to sustainable farm management – in supporting Egypt’s growth plans in this vital sector.

Rasmussen added Denmark is proud to cooperate with Egypt in building a sustainable aquaculture sector. Through the expertise of Danish companies such as “Aller Aqua” and the framework provided by the Egyptian-Danish Business Council, we see promising opportunities for knowledge exchange, attracting investments and achieving shared growth, he said.
