CAIRO – Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides will participate on Saturday in the Cairo Peace Summit called for by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Cypriot diplomatic sources told the Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Friday that the Cypriot president is scheduled to arrive in Cairo on Saturday to attend the Summit.
Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Koumpos will accompany the president during his visit, the sources added.
President Sisi received a phone call from his Cypriot counterpart on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip. They talked about the hazardous situation in the enclave and the humanitarian repercussions for civilians.
