Egyptian Minister of Culture Nevine el-Kilani yesterday met with Decent Life Foundation secretary-general Aya Omar el-Qamari, Initiatives Sector director Nada Kheder and Hamdi Mamdouh of the Integrated Development Sector of the Foundation.

Discussions covered means to expand co-operation between the ministry and the Decent Life Foundation.

The minister praised the foundation for its efforts to improve living standards in the countryside.

El-Kilani said her ministry supports the activities of the presidential rural development initiative Decent Life.

The ministry has devised a programme to present all cultural activities within the initiative, el-Kilani said.

Decent Life reflects government support for rural areas nationwide to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, the minister added.⁰

The initiative brings development to the neediest rural communities in all parts of Egypt to promote their social, economic and environment levels and improve public services, she said.
